SLEEPLESS – LIMINAL ECHO

sleepless - liminal echo is an audiovisual performance created in collaboration with Bernadette Freithofnig and Lisa Hofstätter.

This performance fuses contemporary dance with digital art, using projections on a translucent gauze to evoke the emotional and subconscious realms of sleep and dreaming. Layers of projections are cast onto the gauze, creating an ethereal, ever-shifting visual landscape that mirrors the fluid nature of dreams. The translucent material allows the dancers to move both in front of and behind the projections, blending their physical presence with the projected imagery, creating a sense of bodies dissolving into dreamscapes.

The interplay between movement, light, and digital projections transforms the stage into a multidimensional space, where the boundaries between the physical and the imagined blur, offering a compelling exploration of the human subconscious.
